I want to hear about your favorite spay-neuter marketing campaigns. What have you seen work really well in your communities or in other communities? I would love to see links to these campaigns as well!

When I worked at a larger shelter in Las Vegas, we faced challenges with getting people to take advantage of our free spay and neuter services. In an effort to better understand the needs of our community, we gathered data on poverty levels and areas with limited resources. We identified a few zip codes that met our criteria and decided to send targeted vouchers for free spay and neuter services, as well as vaccines, to residents in those areas. We were thrilled to see a significant increase in spay and neuter procedures, as many of the pet owners in those communities had been unable to afford veterinary care in the past. While not everyone took advantage of our services we were pleased with the support we got from the community.

Unfortunately, I do not have a link to that specific campaign.

Sometimes, there's nothing more effective than meeting people face-to-face and connecting with them on a personal level. Putting boots on the ground can help to build trust, answer questions, and address concerns that may not have been otherwise addressed.
