    Hi All,

Just wanted to share some good news. The Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association (MCVMA) has secured permanent open access to the first comprehensive publications on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in veterinary medicine - Veterinary Clinics: Small Animal Practice – DEI in Veterinary Medicine, Parts 1 & 2 - published by Elsevier.

Thanks to a generous grant from Maddie's Fund®, all 20+ articles are now free to read, download, and share at mcvma.org/publications.

Edited by Dr. @Christina Tran and featuring nationally recognized leaders including UTK Program for Pet Health Equity Director Dr. @Michael Blackwell, Dr. Vernard Hodges, Dr. Coretta Patterson, and Veterinary Technician Specialist Stephen Niño Cital, this groundbreaking series tackles key topics like access to care, inclusive leadership, allyship, diversifying veterinary technician specialties, and more.

This fall, MCVMA will be hosting a series of free virtual "Meet the Author" webinars that will give attendees the chance to engage directly with contributors on these topics. Sign up for the MCVMA newsletter to be notified: bit.ly/MCVMANewsletter

Thank you @Melody Martinez for sharing this!

Congratulations to MCVMA and all involved in this important achievement! Securing permanent open access to these comprehensive DEI publications is a significant step forward for veterinary medicine. Making this work broadly available will support education, leadership, and equity in the profession while advancing efforts to improve access to care. We also look forward to the upcoming "Meet the Author" sessions and continued dialogue on these critical topics!
