This week around the United States, we've been observing National Veterinary Technician Week. Do we have any Vet Techs here? This week is all about celebrating you and your important contributions to our work!
Veterinary Technicians are at the heart of veterinary medicine. Earlier this week, the president of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America said "Every Credentialed Veterinary Technician is a shining star, each unique in all their qualities, and individually contributing to this constellation of essential veterinary team members!"
Vet techs support veterinary medicine in a variety of ways. Their responsibilities range from in the clinic- assisting with medical procedures, educating clients, and completing important records, to beyond the clinic as they participate in education, research, and advocacy.
Are there any veterinary technicians who would like to reflect on their current role or their journey to it?
Does anyone have a vet tech they'd like to shout out here?!

My sister's a vet tech, and honestly, she's the real deal. The stuff she handles daily-surgeries, scared pets, comforting owners-it's wild. I've seen how much heart it takes.
