10/3/22 HASS Foster Job-Alike:  Library Cat Foster Program and Flight Paths for Shelter Dogs

In this meeting, we learned about Rusk Pets Alive!'s foster partnership with their local library and Austin Pets Alive!'s Flight Paths program. 

Flight Paths is a volunteer program designed to give the APA! animals most in need of assistance their best and most immediate chance at securing a foster or adoptive home by creating teams (Flight Crews) around each of those animals to: ensure they develop the life skills they need to be successful in homes; create and distribute marketing and promotional materials; develop intimate knowledge of their histories, behavior and/or medical challenges; prevent psychological and physical decline by protecting their health, safety and emotional well being; and, field inquiries from potential fosters and adopters.
