Introduction

Every shelter may have different emergencies to contend with due to geographic region, susceptibility to certain natural events, shelter design, and other factors.  Disasters can encompass a wide variety of occurrences including natural disasters (tornadoes, fires, earthquakes, etc), pandemics, and violence. Planning ahead and being prepared only ensures that shelters are able to help support their communities, as well as one another on a national level via transport partnerships, supplies, donations, and more!
