Some time back, I published an article in Animal Sheltering on animal protection funding in the USA. Most of the organizations covered were shelters or rescues. There was a section of the article that dealt with the specifics of funding for six un-named shelters (data taken from the SAWA report on shelter finances - SAWA is now AAWA).
