For 5 years No kill Colorado runs a campaign called "Home for the Holidays",  We partner with shelters and rescues in order to get pets adopted, or in foster from Thanksgiving to Christmas day.  The criteria are simple.  The pets must come from Colorado shelters and rescues, must be 3 years or older OR have special needs (behavior or medical), the organizations must have a valid PACFA license and they must be members of SARA (Shelter and Rescue Alliance) of Colorado.

We have saved hundreds of lives with this campaign and are looking at 300 this year alone.

NKC starts with a $5000 fund they provide and looks for corporate sponsors and donors to match twice that in order to succeed with the goal of 300.  Every time a participating organization gets a foster home or adoption from Thanksgiving to Christmas with the criteria above, NKC donates $50 to that organization.  We hope to give away (and raise) at least  $15,000 this year
