I'm a little biased - but I would love to hear what I [and my fellow officers] will potentially see in the field! Primarily:

    1) Heat stress - what it looks like, how to prevent it, what to do when it happens
    3) Unresponsive pet

All great topics.  But if I have to choose:

    Pets

Heat stress - what it looks like, how to prevent it, what to do when it happens
     Unresponsive pet

How about dealing with fearful/frightened Pets.

Our volunteer veterinary teams provide free veterinary care via popup street clinics to pets of people experiencing homelessness. We often go out into encampments or other locations where minimal support is available. Recognizing this is a BIG topic, would it be possible to include a general resource that can help teams identify a mental health crisis and tips on how to de-escalate and/or safely support that individual until city/county services can be contacted? Thanks so much for organizing this discussion!

I would love to see policy and procedures for conducting street clinics. We currently offer vaccination clinics, but I would like to see us expand into more complete exams and treatments where possible.

@Augusta Farley (She/Her), it sounds like we need a "How to Host a One Health Clinic" webinar. Let me see what I can do. :-)

Hi Hilary. This is an important topic. I am not sure that the presenters we have for the upcoming webinar would be able to address this, but we can definitely add it to a future webinar.

I work with cat foster parents and new adopters. I'd like see guidelines for triage - when to take a cat to the ER immediately and anything you can do to help the cat before you reach the ER. One recent experience is that a volunteer took in a stray cat from a parking garage. It turned out he had ingested an anti-coagulant rat poison. It would have been good if the volunteer - or the vet who first saw the cat - had realized sooner that he had been poisoned. He got to the ER in time to save his life, but he lost an eye.

Great post - this is such an important topic. Having both pet and human first aid essentials ready can make a huge difference in an emergency, especially when every second counts. It's one of those things you hope you never need, but you're glad you prepared for. It actually reminds me how important it is to have support when you need it - I once had to look up the hims customer service phone number while dealing with a health-related issue, and it made things a lot less stressful.

I'm most interested in 3) unresponsive pets and 1) heat stress!

These are the most common and terrifying emergency scenarios for pet parents-whether it's a cat overheating in summer or a dog suddenly going limp, it's easy to panic. I'd love to hear step-by-step guidance on how to check for responsiveness, perform basic CPR, and prioritize cooling vs. rushing to the vet during heat stress-this is life-saving knowledge.

I'm also looking forward to 2) Animal Bites-accidents happen, and knowing how to properly clean and care for bite wounds can prevent serious infections. Thank you for putting together such a vital webinar! 🐾
