I'd love to hear more about this topic. So many places have rural communities that have a difficult time accessing health services for themselves and their pets. This would be a great conference topic! We have our conference coming up in April of next year!
We're excited to announce that we have extended our deadline for accepting workshop proposals for our upcoming Texas Unites for Animals Conference, April 23-April 26, 2026.
We are especially seeking veterinary professionals who can share their expertise and help us provide continuing education (CE) opportunities for our veterinarians, RVTs, CVTs, all other technicians.
In addition to traditional sessions, we're also open to longer workshops, roundtable discussions, or other creative presentation formats. If you have an idea, we'd love to hear it and are always open to trying new things!
If you are interested in submitting, you can submit your proposal directly here: Submit Speaker Proposal or email us at texasunites@operationkindness.org. Our team is happy to assist with proposal abstracts or answer any questions you may have.
Join us in 2026 to create an engaging and educational experience for all animal welfare and veterinary professionals!! 🐾

Community perspectives on dogs, health risks, and veterinary care impacts in rural Alaska
New Research: Community Perspectives on Dogs and Veterinary Access in Rural Alaska
This manuscript under our Frontiers One Health research topic is now published:
👉 Community perspectives on dogs, health risks, and veterinary care impacts in rural Alaska
The study explores how limited veterinary access in Alaska's Yukon–Kuskokwim Delta affects both human and animal health-and how community voices can guide One Health solutions.
With early snow, coastal storms, and flooding already challenging travel and care delivery across Alaska, the timing couldn't be more relevant.
Take a look and share your thoughts:
🐾 How can we strengthen preventive veterinary care in remote communities through a One Health lens?
