Zero Discrimination Day is observed globally every year on March 1. It was launched by UNAIDS to promote equality, inclusion, and dignity for all people, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, disability, immigration status, health condition, or any other identity. At its core, it's about calling out how discrimination shows up in everyday systems (healthcare, housing, education, employment) and pushing for a world where everyone has the same chance to thrive.
In One Health, we see this intersection clearly; barriers to human healthcare, veterinary care, housing, transportation, or culturally responsive services often affect entire families, including their pets.
