CancerCare is a national nonprofit that has been providing practical, emotional, and financial support to people and families affected by cancer for over 80 years.
CancerCare’s PAW Program is dedicated to helping people diagnosed with cancer stay together with their pets.
The PAW Program offers:
- Financial assistance for pet-related costs;
- Educational content to help people navigate the challenges that can arise when caring for a pet while also struggling to care for yourself; and
- Helping Paws, a searchable database of low-cost and free pet care services across the country; and
- CancerCare's extensive suite of free services led by a team of oncology social workers including help finding local resources and clinical trials, guidance on navigating cancer, educational webinars and publications, extensive financial assistance, support groups, counseling, and so much more.
