Call for Student Poster Abstract Submissions
2nd Georgia One Health Symposium
September 24-26, 2026
Advancing Health Through Transdisciplinary Collaboration
The 2nd Georgia One Health Symposium invites students and early career professionals to submit poster abstracts.
The symposium provides a forum for sharing innovative research, evidence-based practice, educational initiatives, community engagement efforts, and policy solutions that advance the One Health approach by recognizing the interconnected health of people, animals, plants, and the environment.
Submission Topics
Submissions are encouraged in, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Linkages across Human Health, Animal Health, Environmental Health, and Plant Health
Infectious Diseases
Antimicrobial Resistance
Food Safety and Food Security
Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability
Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response
Mental Health and Well-being through a One Health lens
Health Equity and Social Determinants of Health
Wildlife and Ecosystem Health
Agriculture and Natural Resources
One Health Education
Emerging and Innovative One Health Research
Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects that demonstrate collaboration across multiple sectors are especially encouraged.
Eligible Poster Categories
Poster submissions may include, but are not limited to:
Original research
Program evaluations
Community initiatives
Educational innovations
Quality improvement projects
Case studies
Practice or policy initiatives
Projects in progress
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts should clearly describe the purpose of the work, the approach or activities undertaken, outcomes or anticipated outcomes (if applicable), and the relevance to One Health. Authors may organize their submission using headings that best fit the type of project being presented.
Abstracts are limited to 300 words.

Submission Deadline: August 24, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: August 31, 2026
Presenter Registration Confirmation Deadline: September 8, 2026
Review Process
All submissions will undergo peer review based on the following criteria:
Relevance to One Health
Scientific, educational, practice, or community impact
Innovation
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Clarity and quality of the abstract
Awards
Outstanding poster presentation will be awarded during the Symposium.
