Wanting to learn more about how we can bridge the disciplines of social work and animal welfare? Tomorrow, I will be joined by fellow veterinary social workers Brittany Lally of Columbus Humane and Dillon Dodson of Toronto Humane to discuss our work in access to veterinary care.

Here is a synopsis for our talk:

Addressing human needs in access to veterinary care is essential, as the well-being of pets is closely linked to the circumstances of their owners. By considering factors like financial hardship, housing instability, and mental health, we can improve access to veterinary services, particularly for underserved populations. Social workers are vital in supporting pet owners' social, emotional, and economic needs to work towards closing the gap in access to veterinary care.
The event will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22nd at 7pm ET here:
Unable to make the event? No worries! A recording will be provided at the same link. Hope to see you there!
