Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8:00 a.m.–5:15 p.m. CT at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, TX, for this pre-conference workshop at the 2026 APHA Annual Meeting and Expo.
This one-day convening will bring together leaders from public health, healthcare, veterinary medicine, housing, social services, education, animal welfare, policy, and other sectors to examine where fragmented systems fail pet families-and identify actionable pathways toward coordinated, pet-inclusive care.
Participants will engage in multidisciplinary discussions, build cross-sector partnerships, explore holistic models, and help shape strategies and policy recommendations that better support people and their pets.
Scholarships are available for grassroots advocates, students, and professionals who need financial assistance, made possible by a grant from Maddie's Fund®, #ThanksToMaddie. Scholarship applications must be submitted by August 15, 2026.
