    Hello,

It seems that pet friendly housing, specifically pit friendly housing is still an issue.  Has anybody addressed this for their local community?  If so, how?

We have started to address it here in Cleveland.  Yes, we checked mypitbullisfamily.  But we didn't have a lot of luck here for our specific community but have submitted our list to them for updates.

Our approach has been to check the differing rentals websites.  The best one we found so far has been Zillow.com, as they have a large dog filter.  We also filtered by places that have rent starting at < $1000.  We grabbed the properties off of there and put them in a list, realizing some are part of a property management company.  We've been calling the property management companies and asking about their policy at the highest level.  It has been hit or miss as some don't answer or reply.  But, we have gotten some great responses so far.  In addition, we did have a local shelter publish this out to their FB page and got some responses here as well that we went and verified.  Her is a link to our list - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vTYu07VhzbSmF8a098qfDfdH6-jMl1cvR5L8FzSmHYE/edit?usp=sharing .

The good part is if they are pit bull friendly, their policies are pretty open across the board, so this does go much broader than just pit bulls.

I'd love to hear if others have addressed this and their approach.  OH just had a HB pass that may expand access which will be great!
