  • 1.  LOOKING for software that works for our shelter AND clinic

    Posted 05-14-2020 11:01 AM

    hi all

we are currently using Petpoint and really DO NOT like their clinic part of the software and are looking for new software that is easy to learn, inexpensive, and works for both shelter and clinic. The problem we have found is our clinic does our shelter pets and we also help other shelters/rescues/ACO's and are also open to the public for low cost services. We simply can't find any software that does both and doesn't take a rocket scientist to use it :( any suggestions out there? We've tried several already - Hippo, Clinic HQ, Shelterluv and none work for our situation :( thanks for any feedback!

I too struggled with this as the veterinarians wanted something like Avimark and none of the shelter management software is that robust.  Ultimately we setup Petpoint in a manner that worked for the vets though they remained unhappy.  ; )  At another shelter, we ran all public animals through Clinic HQ and loved it.

hi Denise thanks for your answer... did you have problems with the Petpoint vet side? Setting it up? We USED to use it but then we were getting complaints from OTHER vets who saw them post adoption. They couldn't read the print out of medical history. It was hard to read, small print and hard to find exactly where the dates/procedures (intake thro vaccines/s/n etc) and hated how it looked so we stopped using it. Not sure if its any better these days?
