I attended the Best Friends Societies "How to Start an Animal Sanctuary" workshop in Kanab, UT. There I learned about the numbers of feral and stray cats and want to help. I am going to be learning how to do TNR starting at the Coles County Animal Shelter and will go to various communities that want me to do it. They work with the University of Illinois Veterinary School's Mobile Vet Clinic. When I get really great at it I want to buy an RV and travel the country doing it. I want to talk to people about cat colonies, cat sanctuaries like the Cathouse on the Kings and Lanai Cat Sanctuary, etc. My goal in one year is to do TNR for 1,000 cats and kittens.
I have been to both of these sanctuary. Absolutely amazing experience.
