Caring Hands Humane Society is looking for a Shelter Veterinarian for the year 2020. The Shelter Veterinarian will be dedicated to the care of the homeless animals at CHHS. The veterinarian plays an integral role in ensuring the health and wellness of all animals by providing medical and surgical services for the animals passing through our doors each year.

Caring Hands Humane Society intakes on average 1500 animals per year. The Shelter Veterinarian is required to provide spay/neuter surgeries as needed and oversee daily medical care. CHHS also provides a TNVR program for the feral cats of Newton, Halstead, and Harvey Co. caregivers. TNVR is occasionally performed on a Sunday with anywhere from 5-35 cats. We have a full time Veterinary Technician and part time Veterinary Assistant as a part of the medical team. Our staff consists of 15 team members.

Caring Hands Humane Society is located in Newton, KS. Newton is considered a small town in central Kansas, with a small, but growing community that is driving more and more towards the "do good, feel good" movement!

Start date for this position can be as early as January 1st, 2020.
