We are looking to create a committee that will have the responsibility to evaluate aggressive dogs and then make the decision as to if the dog can be rehabilitated or if euthanasia is necessary. If anyone has any policies, procedures, guidelines, or other suggestions that they'd be willing to share it would be most appreciated.
@KristenAuerbach Didn't you have something like this at Austin Animal Center? And I'm guessing probably at PACC now?
Here's a webcast about the program at Austin Pets Alive! and Austin Animal Center.
And here's a series of blogs about it:
Blog One - Lifesaving Protocol
Blog Two - Lifesaving Protocol
Blog Three - Lifesaving Protocol
Let us know what you think. Is it helpful?
