Animal Welfare Professionals

I am currently seeking a location for Kitizen Science's third validation study, which will take place this summer. Based on special geographic criteria, I have 4 options.  These neighborhoods are in or near San Francisco, Detroit, New York City, and Atlantic City.  Do any of you live in or do TNR or animal welfare stuff in one of these places?  I'd love to hear from you to get perspectives on the neighborhoods I am considering before I spend the money to visit in person.

Where were you thinking in NYC? I live there, though I am not sure how much help I will be! There are a lot of groups doing TNR in Brooklyn. There are lots of cats in Morningside Park in Harlem...I am not sure how much of a focus that area is. It's not too far from the ASPCA, so maybe they are handling?
