Hello Im in charge of intake/transport here at the humane society in my town, we work with multiple recues & local animal control all the time and we never have any contracts with our partners. I'm not sure if its like this at everylocation, but i do know we do not go out and do rescues ourselves, so we really need these local rescues to go out and save these animals from the streets. teamwork makes the dream work!
to become a partner with us, we usually just take down your information and put you in the system as a partner. we prioritize our partners especially if they have animals they pull from the euthanasia list/rescued from abuse.
I would reach out to your local intake coordinator for the humane society and ask to be a partner!

If you are a government shelter, do you have a contract with your local humane society to take animals? Or do you just work with them organically? Is there a reason you do or don't have a contract? And how is it working?
