    Hi everyone,

    (almost) Happy New Year!

Please join us for our next Behavior Job-Alike Meeting. These meetings are open to anyone and everyone who is interested in behavior. Register here.

If you missed our November meeting where we talked about dogs who guard resources, here's the recording.  And if you didn't respond to our survey about how shelters manage dogs who guard resources, we'd love to hear from you . We're only looking for one response per organization, so please check to make sure no one else at your org has responded (or email me to ask, sheila@maddiesfund.org).

Our January meeting will be on Thurs Jan 27 at 9 am PT/12 pm ET.  Dr. Carley Faughn of Best Friends Animal Society and Morgan  Rivera of the Humane Society of the United States  (bios at the end of this message) will be talking about: Debunking Myths for Dogs that come from Dog Fighting Backgrounds.

Dog fighting is an underground bloodsport that made its way into mainstream news with the Michael Vick case. Most people in animal welfare have either worked with survivors of dog fighting or heard myths about them. Dr. Carley Faughn and Morgan Rivera will share their experiences with survivors and aim to debunk some of the many myths that surround these dogs. They will share their experiences using pictures, videos, and firsthand testimonials. There is a need for more data and research to prove what they know to be true: these are simply dogs that come from a tough background but deserve to be treated the same way as any other dog that finds themselves in the care of animal welfare professionals. Mainly, each dog should be treated as individuals to understand who they are and what their likes and dislikes are so that animal welfare professionals can find safe placement for them within a community.

    Bios:
Dr. Carley Faughn has worked with canines, felines, and nonhuman primates since 2007 merging her passion for comparative cognition, animal welfare, and animal rescue. Dr. Faughn is the Senior Strategist of Research for Lifesaving Programs at Best Friends Animal Society. She focuses on solving for advanced behavior challenges for dogs and works with teams to develop lifesaving behavior modification models for shelters across the country. She also develops and implements applied animal behavior research, initially focusing on large dogs and saving those most at risk nationwide. Dr. Faughn consults with various teams within Best Friends Animal Society and with Best Friends' Network Partners across the country to develop creative wellness and enrichment plans and to facilitate teachings about animal behavior and cognition. Dr. Faughn has held various roles within Best Friends from Dogtown Manager to Senior Manager of Animal Care, to her current position focusing on applied research within the lifesaving scope. Before coming to Best Friends Animal Society, Dr. Faughn served as Executive Director of Acadiana Animal Aid (AAA) in Lafayette, LA for three years and while completing her PhD at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Cognitive Science, 2014).

Morgan Rivera has been involved in animal welfare since 2003 and has held various positions from volunteer to Shelter Manager and nearly everything in between. She has started Pet Safety Net Programs, worked as a relief vet tech, and managed a large non-profit, low cost veterinary clinic. She earned her CPDT-KA in 2018, is a member of IAABC's Shelter Affiliate Division, and is set to graduate with her Master's in Shelter Medicine in the spring of 2022. After being a longtime volunteer for the Humane Society of the United States she joined the staff in 2017 and has held various roles in her time with them, including managing their temporary shelters, responding to natural disasters, and acting as a consultant for shelters that have sought the expertise of HSUS's Animal Rescue and Response Team.

Join the HASS Behavior Job-Alike group on Thursday March 31st at 9 am PT/noon ET, where we'll be talking about Keeping Pets in Homes with Post-Adoption Behavior Support. We have some amazing speakers joining us: Camille Circe-Perrault, SPCA of Montreal; Kait Hembree and Allie Mayer, GoodPup; Aimee Sadler, Dogs Playing for Life and Canine Center Florida, and Tiff Shao, Humane Society of Western Montana.

A recent survey revealed that 62% of shelters either don't have, are just getting started or would benefit from improvement of their post-adoption follow-up programs.  In this session, we'll be talking about how different organizations are working to  keep different types of pets in homes by supporting adopters after they take their pet home. If you have something that you're really happy with related to following up with your adopters, we'd love to hear about what you're doing during this meeting.

If you're already registered, you don't need to re-register.  Here's the link, if you haven't joined us before:  https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYrf-ytrzwqH9KGvJ5S3iuOCSFGLEFM5cJK

Please share this event with people who might be interested. Everyone is welcome!

    More about our speakers:

Camille Circe-Perrault is the Animal Welfare Manager - Behavior at the SPCA of Montreal

Kait Hembree VTS (Behavior), CVT, KPA CTP | Head of Training at GoodPup. Kait Hembree and her team designed the GoodPup Training Program using the latest scientific research and positive reinforcement training techniques. Kait's career in Animal Behavior spans decades. She has extensive experience working with behavior modification both in and outside veterinary practices and animal shelters. She regularly consults as a dog behavior expert across the country.

Allie Mayer, CPDT-KA, is the manager of the GoodPup Rescue Program. She is a GoodPup trainer and the former Foster Coordinator and Adoption Supervisor at the Louisiana SPCA. She has over 10 years of experience in the animal sheltering field.

Aimee Sadler is the founder and CEO of Dogs Playing for Life.  With over 30 years of experience with multiple species in varying venues, Aimee has become an internationally recognized trainer and speaker specializing in shelter programs that enhance quality of life and reduce canine euthanasia. Dogs Playing for Life programming (featuring daily playgroups offered to shelter dogs) is in increasing demand and has been introduced to over 300 shelters in the US and Canada. DPFL's first Canine Center in Florida serves one of our nation's most vulnerable populations - dogs that are at risk of euthanaisa due to behavioral challenges - achieving an 86% Save Rate while welcoming dedicated students into our Shadow Program and Mentorships to cultivate the next generation of canine care-takers.

Tiff Shao (CPDT-KA) is the Behavior Manager at the Humane Society of Western Montana, located in Missoula MT. She has been involved in public training programs and sheltering for over 5 years. Tiff graduated from Duke University with a BA in Biology and has been fascinated by the science of behavior ever since she adopted her first dog. At her shelter, Tiff oversees the behavior modification program for shelter pets, teaches private lessons and group classes, and manages the flow of behaviorally challenging pets through her shelter. In her spare time, Tiff enjoys doing more lighthearted training and adventuring with her own dogs. She and her pups dabble in various activities, ranging from nosework, tricks, paddleboarding, backpacking, and most things in between.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sheila,

I was only able to join for about about 1/2 of yesterday's call but I did notice it was recorded. Do you have a rough time frame on when the recording will be available? This topic and Tiff's portion specifically is very in line with obstacles my shelter is having and I'd like to share the recorded discussion with my Long Stay Task Force here. Thank you so much!

    Hi everyone,
For the next three months, in the HASS Behavior job-alike, i'm excited to announce that we'll be focusing on ways to keep pets out of shelters by providing behavior support to our communities. This month, on February 24 at 9 am PT/noon ET, we'll be talking about: Keeping Pets in Homes by Providing Behavior Support to the Community.
Here's more info about this month's meeting, and our wonderful speakers:

Description: During this meeting, learn from successful organizations about innovative and effective ways to provide behavior support and keep dogs and cats in homes and out of shelters. You'll learn about Marin Humane and Paws for Life K9 Rescue's programs and things like tips for getting started, building demand for service among the people you're trying to reach, and how their programs operate. We'll also talk about providing humane outcomes for situations where people can't keep their pet and shelter intake clearly won't help.

Virginia Grainger found her way to positive reinforcement dog training like many people, because she had a challenging dog.  A consultation with Dawn Kovell quickly led to Virginia becoming a volunteer with Marin Humane in 2001.  Shortly thereafter she was training all the volunteers in the Behavior Department.  As time went on Virginia joined the staff and became an Instructor, Volunteer Coordinator, Evaluator, Consultant and a few more positions. Some of the many initials Virginia can put after her name include, B.A, J.D., CPDT-KA, CBA I & II. Virginia is the Marin Humane Shelter Behavior Manager and oversees canine evaluations, adoption dog consultations and is also teaching classes and doing private consultations. Virginia currently shares her home with her husband Jason and her 100% Marin Humane dog pack, which currently is made up of one Old English Sheepdog/German Shepherd mix, two Australian Shepherds and one 7 pound Chihuahua, who really runs the show.

Alex Tonner adopted a baby pit bull in 2009. She named him "Ziggy" because his tail zig-zagged; it was bent out of shape as the result of the abuse and neglect he had endured in a backyard before being rescued. Ziggy's brother was missing part of his nose. As Alex watched Ziggy transform into a loyal and loving family member, she knew she could help other dogs like him find the homes they deserved. Alex spent many years volunteering for dog rescues, and along the way, she learned that the dogs could help people just as much as the people could help the dogs. She helped implement the "Paws For Life" prison program in 2014 at the California State Prison in Lancaster. The program was originally designed to be a simple dog-training program for incarcerated men in a federal penitentiary–the first of its kind at a maximum-security prison. Tonner and other volunteers would drive groups of dogs from overpopulated shelters in Los Angeles to the prison to get trained for 10 weeks at a time. The program transformed the lives of both the incarcerated dog-trainers and the dogs: the men prepared the dogs for adoption, and the dogs made life inside the prison a bit better. As the program's reputation grew, "Paws for Life" became its own non-profit and its trainers became certified to train shelter dogs to serve as service animals for war veterans suffering from PTSD. Among her many accomplishments, Alex prides herself on the fact that so many men who have been through the Paws for Life prison program now have been released on account of their work with the shelter dogs. Paws For Life continues to grow apace, with six programs running in three different prisons. Through Paws For Life, she has also coordinated large animal rescue efforts following national disasters such as Hurricane Harvey. Through the organization, she hopes to change the ways animals are treated throughout the world. Ziggy has no idea, but many dogs and humans have better lives thanks to him and the love he inspired in Alex.

Jon Grobman is the director of programs for Paws For Life K9 Rescue. In his role as director, Jon oversees the training programs inside 3 California state prisons and the People and Pet Innovation Center . Jon brings with him, 8 years of dog training experience, including training service dogs for military veterans with PTSD. Jon is an experienced teacher who has taught hundreds of group classes for all levels, many workshops and seminars. Jon is passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond and focuses heavily on observation to create enriching training programs for individual dogs. Jon studied Dog Emotion and Cognition at Duke University, and is an AKC Certified Evaluator. Jon's hands-on experience overseeing the training of hundreds of dogs has played a valuable role in him gaining the necessary skills to oversee such a large program. In his spare time, Jon trains his Belgian Malinois who is fluent in more than 60 commands, and is often by Jon's side and seminars and speaking engagements.

If you have any questions about the topics covered during our job-alike meetings, we'd love to discuss them here!  Here's notes from our meeting. Apologies that i'm not the best notetaker while i'm hosting a meeting. If anyone wants to volunteer to take notes during these meetings, i'd love your help!

In case you missed them, here's the recordings from February and March, our other two sessions about community based behavior support.

We hope you can join us for our next meeting on Thursday, May 26 at 9 am PT. We'll be talking about assessing dog behavior over the next few months. How do we meet dogs' needs and safely place dogs in homes if behavior assessment tests aren't good at predicting the occurrence of aggressive behavior in home environments?

Hope you can join us! If you're not registered for the behavior job-alike, you can register here.

    Hi everyone,

Our next Behavior Job-Alike is Thursday May 26 at 9 am PT.  I'll be leading our discussion about behavior assessments. During this meeting, we'll be talking about how we responded to this survey (it's not too late to respond if you haven't) and options for paths forward in assessing dog behavior.  Please be ready to chat as tomorrow's meeting is a discussion and not a formal presentation.
I encourage you to review the results in advance, so you have time to think about things before we meet.  Here's a link to our results. You'll be asked for a password to access the results.  Password: Behavior
You know how we all want to avoid reinventing the wheel and/or share amazing resources that we've created?   During the month of May, we are hosting a drive to collect handouts, ppts, training materials etc. about behavior in Maddie's Pet Forum. Thanks to those of you who've shared thus far. PLEASE take the time to share at least one behavior resource in the forum. More than one is even better.  You can upload materials directly, or share hyperlinks, youtube videos, etc.  If you need help, please let me know.  The MPF Resource Library is only as good as we make it :)
Thx everyone!  As always, if you have friends or coworkers who might be interested, they can register here.

    Hi everyone,
Here's the link to our May recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXifrV4BwlY
During this meeting we talked about the survey results and had a general discussion about assessing dog behavior.   If you'd didn't get a chance to see the survey results, here they are: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-qTc00YY0UXvBjrH9Ggbn2w_3D_3D/summary/   it will ask for a password which is Behavior (with a capital b).
In June, Devan Amundsen be talking about using the Problem Oriented Behavior Record (SOAP format) for assessing animal behavior.  Standardized reporting using a problem oriented behavior record (POBR) format along with adopting a root cause analysis mentality offers us an alternative to formal behavior assessments. This approach to reporting and analysis creates a more complete picture of a dog's behavior for everyone who interacts with the dog.
Devan Amundsen, CPDT-KA CBCC-KA, is a certified dog trainer and behavior consultant with over 10 years of experience working with not just dog owners, but dogs in shelters, assistance dogs, and other working dogs. Devan started as a volunteer training dogs at his local shelter, and since then has been a Kennel Technician, Dog Care Coordinator, Animal Control Officer, and Shelter Manager. Devan currently teaches college courses about dog training, dog behavior, kennel management, and animal sheltering at the Bachelor of Science and Associate of Science levels at Bergin University of Canine Studies in Sonoma County, California. Devan teaches approximately 25% of the Bachelor's degree program. Devan also helped modify the Bachelor of Science degree program, designing and instructing entirely new courses centered around animal sheltering and providing community support. Last year, Devan launched a pilot program at the university, assigning students to foster dogs pulled from shelters for the semester as part of their studies, then participating in placing those dogs into adoptive homes. In April of 2022, Devan joined the team at Oakland Animal Services as the Dog Behavior Coordinator. Beyond the day-to-day behavior work, the goal is to create programs and systems that can be replicated at shelters across the country.

In July,  Dr. Carley Faughn will be talking to us about assessing behavior using functional assessments. How can we learn more about the animals we work with and help them overcome challenges when we have so many other responsibilities and things to do on a daily basis? We will explore how everyday interactions, focusing on functional assessments, with animals is a learning experience not only for them but also for us to learn more about their individual needs and increase positive outcomes. Each interaction we have with the animals in our care is an opportunity for us to better understand who they are. Whether we are entering a dog's kennel to leash them for a walk, taking a dog for an outing in a car, or we are opening a cat's kennel to clean their litter box, how they behave in these and other daily situations informs us of how we can help them better handle being in a shelter, foster home, or adopted home and develop life skills. In this session, attendees will learn how to be aware of each animal's behavior, understand what that behavior means, and help the animal's overcome challenges as soon as they are recognized with techniques to easily implement into daily routines. By doing this, we are setting them up for success by looking at the animal in front of us and using that information to help them with what they need.
Dr. Carley Faughn, PhD, CAAB, has worked with canines, felines, and nonhuman primates since 2007 merging her passion for comparative cognition, animal welfare, and animal rescue. Dr. Faughn is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist and the Senior Strategist of Research for Lifesaving Programs at Best Friends Animal Society.

    Hi everyone,
Slight change of plans for our July 28 job-alike meeting. We'll be moving Dr. Faughn's functional assessment presentation to August and instead i'll be talking about Risk Assessment and Mitgation as it related to dogs.
Here's a quick blurb about it:
We're fortunate that seriously aggressive behavior is rare.  However, even if infrequent, we hope to protect public safety by preventing animals at high risk of causing serious harm from being placed in homes. Behavior assessment tests were standard of care; however, we now know that behavior assessment tests of shelter dogs don't reliably and accurately predict the occurrence of aggressive behavior in a home environment.  So how do we identify animals who are a significant public safety risk and protect the public? And how do we reduce the likelihood of harm to adopters? During this session, we'll talk about risk assessment and how animal welfare organizations can assess and reduce the risk of placing dogs into the community.
Looking forward to seeing many of you on July 28.  As always, if you know of anyone who wants to join our group, they can register here.

Thank you for offering this resource! I've found the other presentations very informative.

    Hi,

Our next behavior job-alike meeting is  Thursday Sep 29 at 9 am PT/noon ET.  I'll be leading a discussion about behavioral decision-making protocols and processes.  This appears to be an area where many of our organizations could use some attention - creating plans and protocols to guide us when we are making difficult decisions regarding whether we feel it's safe to place an animal into our communities.  While many of us have different opinions regarding WHO is safe to place, that will not be the focus of this discussion. We'll be talking about protocols and processes to try to make sure we're doing what is best for the animals we care for.

Please come to this meeting prepared to talk about how you/your organization navigates this topic - our primary speaker this month is all of you :). If you have any forms or documents that you're willing to share, i know they'ed be appreciated. Please plan on sharing them during the meeting or you can email me in advance at sheila@maddiesfund.org.

If you know of anyone who would like to join these monthly calls, they can register here

Lastly, Maddie's Insights is a new monthly webcast series where research scientists join us to talk about their work.  The series aims at turning research publications into practical recommendations that you can use to help you in your work. Sign up for our next webcast (Dr. Frank McMillan will be talking about Social Pain in dogs, on Thurs Oct 6 at noon PT) here.

    Thx!

    Hi everyone,

Our next Behavior Job-Alike is this Thursday at 9 am PT/noon ET. Please join via the link in your calendar. However, if you can't find the meeting invite, you can use my link (but you'll need to edit your name once you join, or it will say that you are me).

This month we'll be talking about validated questionnaires for behavior. These include:

    • C-BARQ (overall dog behavior)
    • DIAS (impulsivity)
    • CFQ (frustration)
    • LCAS (anxiety)
    • LSSS (sound sensitivity)
    • PANAS (positive and negative
    • Fe-BARQ (overall cat behavior)

All of these questionnaires are free to use. I encourage you to take as many of these as you can for one or more of your pets or animals in your org's custody so that we can talk about them during our call on Thursday.  Note that all of the surveys are for dogs except #7.  The C-BARQ and Fe-BARQ are fairly long. The others are shorter.

Looking forward to seeing you all in a few days. Reminder that we'll not be meeting in November or December due to the holidays.

If there's another questionnaire you'd like us to add to the list, please let me know!

    Sheila

    Happy New Year!

After a hiatus over the Nov/Dec holidays, it's time to restart our monthly behavior job-alike meetings.  We'll be starting the year with a topic that i know is extra relevant to many of us these days. This will be a good one for operations directors/managers in addition to behavior folds, so please be sure to share the registration link with people who might be interested.

Tips and Tricks for Incorporating Behavior into Day to Day Operations Many of us struggle with meeting our animals' behavioral needs. Some of us know what we want to do, but don't have enough resources. Others aren't sure where to get started. During this session, Mick McAuliffe will share insights gained from his experiences, and actions you can take to incorporate behavior into day to day operations.

    Here's a link to past job-alike recordings.

    Bio:

Mick McAuliffe has worked in animal training, behavior and enrichment since 1987. Before coming to the United States, Mick served as the Director of Animal Behavior and Training for the RSPCA Queensland, Australia, where he developed assessment, modification, enrichment, and training programs for multiple species. In addition to his extensive work in canine training, Mick has developed, implemented, and lectured on training, behavior and enrichment programs for animal shelters, zoos, government, and private facilities around the world.

Mick joined the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in 2009, and oversaw all behavior, training, and enrichment programs for the ARL, ensuring the mental well-being for all animals in the ARL's care. In 2011, Mick moved to the position of Director of Animal Services and implemented a holistic approach for animal welfare, ensuring their physical and behavioral needs were met daily. His work ended with the ARL due to injury, but he is back working with people, animals and volunteering as a keeper in Large Mammals at Blank Park Zoo Des Moines.

Mick only uses positive reinforcement training techniques, eliminating the need for physical or verbal correction or training equipment that can cause pain or injury. Throughout his career, Mick has written for animal magazines, research papers and has co-authored two books for the ARL that are in stores nationwide: For Love of Dogs and For Love of Cats.

    See you next week!

    Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the April job alike where we discussed the 2nd edition of the ASV guidelines (behavior section).

This month, i'm excited to announce that on May 25 at 11 am CT, we'll be joined by Angie Cook who will be talking to us about applying the L.E.G.S. Model to Sheltering and Rescue.  In June and July we'll have a two part series about volunteers with Kym Iffert.  part one: how to teach volunteers simple/easy ways to observe and communicate about body language in dogs and cats in a simple, objective manner.   (Taking the TEMP); part two: how to safely work with dogs in shelter settings with a focus on teaching skills that adopters find most appealing.

May topic summary : The animal welfare world has undergone drastic changes in a very short period of time. These monumental shifts have changed the face of how and why we do what we do in sheltering and the Industry finds itself constantly scrambling to keep up with new paradigms and best practices for them. Family Dog Mediation utilizing Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self (L.E.G.S.) has been a vehicle by which we are navigating the very dynamic dog behavior industry and all of the twists and turns we are experiencing as new science emerges almost daily rendering years of philosophy incomplete or obsolete.
We can and have applied the same Family Dog Mediation, L.E.G.S. Model to Sheltering and Rescue with positive results for the dogs in the system as well as the people caring for them. By accounting for Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self, we can learn more about the dogs in our care, equip them with specific and productive enrichment and environments, as well as assess what outcome would be best suited to that specific dog. We can better communicate with the public and adopters about the dogs they hope to welcome into their homes and set them up for success. We can support our staff and volunteers and streamline processes to hopefully make things simpler and less overwhelming. This presentation will outline the basics of the L.E.G.S. Model and give actionable steps to get the ball rolling.

About Angie: Angie's remarkable leadership & communication skills have defined an extensive successful career working with dogs & families in both sheltering & behavior consulting. She has worked closely with The Dog Door for over a decade, as an invaluable partner committed to the evolution of standards & practices in canine welfare & behavior.

Kym has completed specialized, ongoing coursework as a Family Paws Parent Educator, completed Michael Shikasio's Aggressive Dog Training Course, as well as several classes through the Association of Animal Welfare Administrators, and the IAABC with a focus on animals suffering from fear, anxiety and a wide spectrum of behavioral issues.  Having moved to Nashville in 2019, she stepped in as the Animal Care Director at Crossroads Campus to continue providing education, training and resources.  Kym is currently involved with Maddie's Fund, Human Animal Support Services, and the Nashville Safe Coalition networks to help keep animals with their families and to support owners and overcrowded animal  intake facilities.
    About Steve:
Steve Porter: After nearly 15 years in software development and engineering for human health care systems, Steve Porter decided to marry his technical skills with his passion for helping dogs and cats.

He spent the next four and a half years at Austin Pets Alive! in Texas, where he started as a volunteer in the parvo and panleukopenia isolation wards. A few months later, he joined the staff as manager of the parvo ICU program and spent the next two years helping to save some of the shelter's most critical intakes and increase the program's capacity while maintaining its stellar survival rate. Hooked on the mission but also looking for a new challenge, Steve became a director of lifesaving operations, a role that tapped his experience in the technology and software fields.

In spring 2021, Steve transitioned to a new job as chief product officer at ShelterBuddy, where he leads the effort to combine the system's extensive database capabilities with a redesigned, modern interface. He also volunteers with Human Animal Support Services, an international coalition of animal services leaders and partner organizations, where he leads the technology group.

  • 33.  RE: HASS Behavior Job-Alike Meetings: Agenda, Recordings and Discussion

    Posted 07-21-2023 05:18 PM
    Hi everyone,
We hope to see many of you at our next behavior job-alike meeting next Thursday July 27 at 9 am PT/noon ET.

Last month, Kym Iffert shared how she trains volunteers about basic behavior(recording) and Steve Porter did a demo of behavior functionality in Shelterluv (recording).

This month, part two of Kym's presentation will also focus on training volunteers with an eye toward:
    • Using electronic orientations vs waiting for in-person
    • Focus on quality over quantity
    • Always err on the side of safety (addressing how to engage/enrich through a kennel door)
    • Identifying empathy/compassion fatigue in volunteers
Erika Davis will be talking to us about behavior functionality in PetPoint.

Hope to see you then! The old meeting invite expired last month, so it WILL NOT be in your calendar unless you followed the instructions below.
    Job-Alike Event Calendar Invite:
If you use google calendar to remind you of these monthly meetings - you might have noticed that the Behavior Job-Alike falls off after this month. We DO have a meeting this month  - our event in Zoom just needed an update!

Instructions to update your personal calendar:
    • Option #1: Find the options for June's calendar event and adjust to monthly with "no end date" in the settings.
    • Option #2: Erin Tabor resent everyone's zoom confirmation for easy access - and you can re-add the recurring calendar invite from there.
    • Regardless, your login information will not change from what it currently is!

If none of these options work, please let me know.
