Description
The Research Administrator of CARE's Circle of Learning and Leadership plays an important role in the CLL's operations. The CLL is currently seeking an administrator to support the Dean of the CLL, the Chief of Research & Development, the Chief of Environmental Justice & Policy, and staff, in relation to its Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion coursework, its research projects and endeavors, and with the stated aim of "delivering rich resources for maintaining community-centered Human and Animal Well-Being to community members, proximate leaders, veterinarians, and Animal Welfare more broadly"
Purpose
In support of CARE's mission, the CLL Research Administrator will provide much needed operational support for REDI coursework to reach more people within the Animal Welfare space, and for Research and Development as well as Environmental Justice and Policy to concentrate their genius on the all-important projects that will affect our communities, rather than the minutiae which attend such projects. Similarly an administrative assistant would help the CLL to develop its library of resources so that they could be made available on our website for our communities to access.
Responsibilities
- data management (Salesforce, BadgeCert)
- monitoring of REDI email account
- coordination of meetings and note-taking
- research various topics for inclusion in reports, grants, or documents upon request
- synthesize information for reports, grants, or documents and make recommendations to the appropriate author
- proofreading reports, grant, and documents as directed
- tracking of budget expenses and purchase orders
- timely correspondences with internal and external audiences
- website maintenance (WordPress, MemberPress)
Qualifications
- abilities to: work independently, multi-task, be highly organized, be collaborative in working with a team
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- commitment to racial equity and social justice endeavors
- grant management experience preferred
