We hope you will join us on Monday, September 12 at 11am PT/2pm ET for our next national Community Conversations call. We will be announcing the August grant winners to kick off the call followed by a presentation from members of the Shelter Animals Count team.

Shelter Animals Count Executive Director, @Stephanie Filer and Samantha Hill, Director of Data and Technology will be sharing details about the Shelter Animals Count 2022 Q2 report. The report will provide insights to the first half of the year and a forecast for what we can expect the last half of the year. The forecast is an estimate based on past data and assumes no changes occur in the industry.

The primary driver of shelters feeling at – or over – capacity in the first half of 2022 is due to the imbalance of too many animals staying behind as total outcomes have been falling short of intakes – for month-after-month – beginning in 2021. That, coupled with staffing and volunteer shortages, veterinarian shortage, decreased funding, and more, has made it even more challenging.

You can register for the call here: https://maddies.fund/CommunityConversationsRegistration

When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about." – Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
