After taking an Instructor-led course for saving felines. I have completely revamped our programs. Normally, when we are working through a pride, we spay/neuter everyone, get the friendlies up for adoption, pat ourselves on the back about what a good thing we just did! SAVING  CATS "cape flapping in the breeze."
After taking the course, we are posting these kitties on lost and found asking the question" Do you know me?"
To my delight and surprise we have found 3 indoor/outdoor cats that are now co-parented by neighbors! They now share a new found friendship bonded by a cat that they both love.

We work a little harder now that we understand that cats can roam in a 4 mile radius. If we had just taken the cat off the street 2 families would have been heartbroken about his disappearance.

Yay! Yes, indoor/outdoor cats are still very common in many areas. Most outdoor cats are being cared for by someone, so it's definitely better to leave them where you found them!
