During Covid we had to get creative with fundraising so every month we posted a $5 raffle that included $100 scratch offs (apparently EVERYONE loves scratch offs) and either a piece of jewelry or a gift certificate. We always did so well with them that we have continues to do them (just not every month now). We often raised $1000 + with very minimal work to do.

I love this idea! Where do you get your scratch-offs made?

Fun idea! How did you have them pay? Online on Facebook page, your website, etc?

I love this idea. We do a lot of raffles and online auctions with baskets and donated gift certificates.
Would a scratch off basket interfere with any Gaming Commission laws?

I also did this when we had started collecting items for a golf tournament that could no longer be held because of C19!  I took all the donated items and made each available in a raffle. Tickets were sold online and in person for $1/each (would recommend $5/each if the valued items are high which they were).  A person could win one of at least 30 or more great items/services. We actually raised $10k doing this!

Thanks for posting this idea! it is so helpful. I was trying to think of what we could do online and was focused on an auction, but I like the raffle idea so much better.  I had the same question that Rebecca posted about how Gaming laws might impact raffling scratchers.

Yes!! That is a very important point I neglected to mention! Oregon's gaming law allowed up to $10k in annual raffle proceeds before having to pay up. Consult your State laws for sure!
