I'm glad you're following and hope it helps you, too! I'll have to check into Giving Grid - that's so sweet that it lets donors post their pets. We always do social media campaigns - if we need it fast we give Venmo, PayPal and web address b/c while its super easy for people to donate on FB's fundraising platform, it's very slow to come in, esp if you do it after the 15th of the month. But, it's a solid platform if you don't need the urgency. Our biggest issue with outside sites is that FB SEVERELY limits our reach. They don't like outside links, per all the social media experts and the results we've seen, as well, BUT others say they do well with them. So I'm not sure if it's conquering something in particular or what. We're very small and our volunteers share, but we still don't get a lot of reach from outside links or FB event pages (which is odd in itself). Gotta keep trying, tho! 😁

We've done it where one of our rescues comes in with major medical issues and we need money fast. They walk you through setting up your campaign and make it pretty easy. You set up a grid and ask people to donate and they can put a photo of their dog or a message in the square. We've met our goal each time we've done it and very quickly. You can publicize your campaign through things like Mail Chimp (they make it really easy), on social media and your website. They will sometimes highlight a campaign as well to help. They don't take any fees. Of course PayPal or credit cards have their fees (donors can pay it) but the money you bring in outweighs any fees. Thanks for this thread.

Thank you, Kerry! I love the idea of a name raffle - that's great! That's a good way to approach kids doing a lemonade stand. May have to try that. We did the shoe campaign many years ago and it was tons of work. You'd not think so, but we had to have so many pairs per a specific trash bag they sent, with a specific tie, had to examine all the shoes and toss what didn't work, and store all of the shoes at a specific place (we used a garage) until they picked it up...and a minimum number of pairs of shoes was like 1000 or something. If you can get people behind you and t a double garage at the very least, you can do well, but it definitely takes work. A physical shelter setting would probably be a whole lot easier, so for those that are in physical buildings, it might be a good way to go.

You can try donation cash boxes/jars at local businesses. Then you promote the business on your web/social media for being a friend/support of your rescue. "Raffle" off naming rights for a litter of kittens or puppies, if you don't have tangible items to raffle.
I haven't tried yet bit there are shoe campaign fundraiser drives.
Lemonade stands organized by kids has been a big hit this year for us. You can create promote this fun way young kids can be "volunteers" for your rescue if they are too young to work with the animals. You can create a fundraiser kit for the kids to download - a flyer with the rescue logo.
I believe I saw someone posted about being outside a grocery store, is great for in-kind donations as they shop they can buy one of the items from your wishlist and drop it off to your table when they leave grocery store. Great day to do this is SuperBowl morning. The last minute shoppers, and not too much in a rush.
Give Back nights from restaurants is another great resource to look into.

I was hoping for some ideas for quick fundraisers that would peak the public's interest, outside of $5 Friday, Facebook/IG fundraisers and bake sales. We just got hit with 3 ERs in a row, one requiring the help of specialists and YOWZA it's tapped us out, frightened so. Also, any tips on getting people involved, as we fight, fight, fight the FB and IG limitations on views and it reaching people, short of paying for it. So would love to hear your creativity since mine has hit a wall. LOL
