Thanks so much for sharing this information, Amber!
I wanted to attach the PDFs from Shelter Animals Count that contains all the details about the Basic Data Matrix and the Community Services Matrix so that they are easily accessible for all challengers. Please note that the attached document titled "SAC Intake and Outcome Database"
is the Basic Data Matrix, it looks like they recently renamed it.

Hi Jenny,
Thank you for your question and participation in the 2022 RTH Challenge.
Yes, if you are able, please keep your numbers separate for both cats and dogs. You can find the Participation Report for the RTH Challenge on our website. You will see in Question 1, that we are looking for:
a. October 2022 Return to Home SNR/RTF Dogs
b. October 2022 Return to Home Owned Dogs
c. October 2022 Return to Home SNR/RTF Cats
d. October 2022 Return to Home Owned Cats
Here are more details about the Basic Data Matrix. Shelter Animals Count is now tracking two data sets. The Basic Data Matrix tracks intake/outcome data for shelter/rescue animals while the Community Services Matrix tracks services provided for community and owned pets. They explain the difference in more detail on their website.
I hope this is helpful, but if you have any additional questions, please just let me know.
Thanks so much!
Amber
