This heroic soldier's cat is one of kind, and acts like an affectionate dog. We wish we had 10 more like her, but she can only go to one special forever home. Please apply here to adopt Eva - https://fs28.formsite.com/P9pqzz/lyzpwhzwut/index.html
    Here's her story…
Eva the Cat became very ill as a kitten, which caused her Mom to abandon her in a desolate area in the Middle East. Luckily she was found just in the nick of time, by Chief Warrant Officer Eric. Eric patiently nursed Eva back to great health, and got her a full check-up from a local veterinarian. Before even knowing the outcome of the vet visit, Eric's heart was already won, as he and Eva formed an enormously strong bond.
Not allowed to keep her in the barracks, Eric made a home for her in one of the trailers, and even camped out with her on a cot. While this isn't exactly an ideal sleeping situation for most, Eric didn't mind. He loved spending time with his dear cat Eva, as she brought him endless amounts of joy. With his deployment coming to an end, Eric reached out to Paws of War, which is the only option to get his beloved cat back to the United States.
After what can only be described as an enormous effort, Paws of War successfully rescued Eva, and brought her home. Eric couldn't have been happier to be reunited, and introduce Eva to his 2 other cats, one of whom is special needs… But after months of carefully trying many different tactics, Eva will just not tolerate any other cats. He and his wife Rachel did everything right to acclimate Eva, including consulting experts, while providing a lot of love and patience. On top of that Rachel was pregnant, and with their new baby due any day, we thought it was best to bring Eva back to Paws of War.
Eric is devastated. All he wants now is to find Eva a new home. And we do too. We need to find a great family for Eva, who have the ability to give all the love that Eva deserves, and receive the love that she's going to give back. We even tried an experienced foster to see if Eva could make enough progress with another cat, but she unfortunately could not adjust.
Eva is still such a great cat and will make the perfect addition to your family, but due to the situation, we're looking for a home with no other pets. Please share this story or send directly to any family who you think could be a good fit. Let's find Eva her forever home!
