72 Hour Foster Handbook - The 72-hour Temporary Foster program is meant to provide immediate shelter for pets whose owners have just left a domestic violence situation. At the end of the three days, temporary fosters will have the opportunity to continue as long-term fosters for the pet, or transition the animal to another foster family for long-term foster care. This handbook outlines the general process of the program, what to expect, and helpful tips. However, it by no means encompasses every situation you may encounter, so please feel free to reach out to the Coalition at any time if you have questions or need support.
