It would be alot to manage to have a "new puppy" ("new kitten") mailing list and a "senior dog/cat" mailing list and a "behavioral needs" email list, etc to send a monthly newsletter with tips & reminders but ...
OR have little FB and/or Instagram "tutorials" that have a question at the end and the first 3 that answer correctly it get a coupon (pet store, grooming, vet service, boarding, training, photo "shoot" or ...).
Or maybe setup monthly get togethers for each group (puppy, kitten, seniors, first pet, etc), have a volunteer speak on a topic for 15-20 min (& provide handouts) then have a game or quiz at the end. People love to get together WITH their dogs (don't know about cats) and if you provide cookies ... :) It's possible some of the adopters would want to speak on their experience and research for a specific issue they had.

Subject: Adoption Information to go Home with the Adopter
We are revisiting the educational, promotional and physical items that we give to adopters at the time of adoption. They are so excited about their new cat (dog), they retain very little at the time of the adoption, yet giving them a whole bunch of written information either physical or digital may go unread. Does anyone have a layered plan for disseminating important information over time?
