I am an experienced business leader who recently left my job in the high-tech industry. I am now looking to transition to a more purpose-driven role in my late career. My passion is to do something meaningful and give back to the community. My wife and I are avid animal lovers and have four rescue animals. For many years, I have been actively volunteering and working part-time at the Animal Care League of Oak Park, IL, a local animal shelter. Additionally, I volunteer with As Good as Gold, a golden retriever rescue organization, by writing adoption-ready stories on dogs.
I am eager to receive feedback and/or speak to people offline to gain insights into how I could best transition to the animal welfare space. I believe that my transferable skills can significantly impact an animal welfare organization, but I need to be able to tell my story to the right person at the right organization.
