Hi Hailey,
I'm guessing you are a kind, compassionate, dedicated person so I am very sorry for what I am about to say. Your dog is not 'getting dangerous'...she is dangerous. She has already hospitalized one human and one dog. Her only two options are a life of isolation or euthanasia.
It is not surprising that her behavior did not get bad until she was 6 months old. That is typically when behavior problems start to rise up which is unfortunate because that is well past the socialization period. Her dangerous behavior will continue and she will hurt other people and dogs. The fact that you have a special needs child in the house is very concerning. Frankly, I am shocked that the vets do not recognize the danger of this dog. At this point, her age is irrelevant...she is already causing severe injuries.
Here is the Dog Bite Scale used by The Association of Professional Dog Trainers: An assessment of the severity of biting problems based on an objective evaluation of wound pathology
Look, we are all on this forum because we LOVE animals. I love animals. You obviously love animals. This is the last thing I want to tell you but if anyone tells you differently they don't have your best interest at heart. They are protecting themselves from the harsh reality that, despite your best efforts, this poor dog is very dangerous and will have to live in isolation for the rest of her life. And that is no way to live. The only humane thing to do for her and everyone around her is to put her down.
Please do not feel guilty about this decision b/c that guilt will pale in comparison to the guilt (and legal liability) you will suffer when it happens again...and it will happen again, perhaps worse. Based on the circumstances, I'm sure you did what you could. Do not feel like a failure. I'm so sorry, this must be heartbreaking.

Hello,
I need help, so I have a 9 month old cane Corso. She got injured by her mom when she was born so I took her and helped her get healthy, she was 3 days old. Everything was great until she was 6 months old and attacked my mother. My mom had to go to the hospital, her arm was terrible. We were trying to correct her behavior, and we thought she was getting better. Until she attacked our other cane (her sister) so bad to where she was bleeding everywhere. Then last night my one dog was in her cage & faith ran in there and started attacking her because she wanted her cage. She also growled at my special needs daughter who can not walk or talk nor crawl. I'm in Akron Ohio & I don't know what to do a lot of vets told me I can't put her down due to her being a puppy but she's getting dangerous and overly protective over me. I'm scared something else is going to happen. I need to figure out what to do with her
