Hi,
Our rescue places ID collars on all cats/kittens as they come into our shelter, and coming this winter we will legally be required to have ones that have names to ID them on them. We currently use paper ones (easy to write on and we thought easily ripped in case of getting stuck), but we've had issues with a few cats/kittens getting the collars stuck overnight and injuring themselves/ the collars just aren't ripping in those instances. We can't find any options of paper collars that are breakaway if they get stuck, and paper has been the only thing so far that we can afford in bulk and write names on. The velcro ones don't work well for keeping names on them and we can't find any plastic breakaway options. Does anyone have any options? What do you use for your cats? I'm surprised there isn't just a classic nylon/plastic vet ID collar that is breakaway form. Maybe there is and I just can't find it? Thanks so much in advance for any advice!
