Hi everyone! Pennsylvania is looking to take big steps toward overcoming breed discrimination in housing practices! A new insurance bill introduced by Representative Kathleen Tomlinson, known as Mac's Law (House Bill 1515), is aiming to prevent insurance companies from discriminating against homeowners based on the breed of their dog. This is a huge step forward in the battle against out-dated and discriminatory practices known as Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) that make stable housing less achievable for people and their pets. The bill is currently in PA's Housing and Community Development Committee and is expected to be introduced to PA's House of Representatives soon!
