I've found that recurring donors tend to respond really well when they can connect their gift to something tangible. For something like flooring, I'd lean into the impact it has on the clinic's day-to-day work rather than just "we need a new floor." Like, why does replacing it matter for patients, staff, sanitation, efficiency, etc.?
Also pictures! Defintiely in pictures of animals! I think short email updats are better received vs. text messages or long-winded updates that feel like homework to read. If you're good at Facebook posts, I think you can write a good recurring donor piece. :)
