Our trapping team favorites are the Tomahawk Gravity Traps. They are a little more expensive but they last. We started investing in Tomahawk traps about 8 years ago and we have never had to replace one of these traps. We have replaced a few parts which are inexpensive. I would also recommend getting a drop trap and several trap dividers. If you need assistance, contact the staff at the seller. From time to time there are also discounts offered to the TNR community. One more thing... the best way to make sure your traps can be used for years is to keep them out of the elements (rain, snow, moisture) when they are not in use; always watch the set traps to keep wildlife out of them which can distroy a trap in no time, never allow anyone to leave a trap set overnight unattended.
By the way, if you purchase from Tomahawk, strongly consider the Neighborhood Cat traps that have been designed and constantly improved by Tomahawk to meet the cat trapper needs, including a larger trip plate and doors on both sides! Here's the link to their website: https://www.livetrap.com/index.php
Trap covers can be easily made and always used by cutting up old sheets, towels or blankets -- we put a slit in the top for the handle to show through.
· The recommended trap cover size is 38" x 58". This is a minimum guideline and standard based on a large/decent-sized trap. This is a great job for volunteers to help with that cannot help trap!
Good luck! It's a great thing that you are doing!

Subject: Cats Traps
I am in search of information about cat traps. Our TNR program is approaching, and we have nearly 10 eager volunteers ready to participate. Unfortunately, the "Berkeley County Community Cats" organization has informed us that they currently lack traps for our volunteers to initiate the program. In response, our organization, supported by the grant we received from Maddie's Pet Forum, will be purchasing traps to assist them.
If you have any advice on where we can purchase these traps, we would greatly appreciate your help. Your guidance will be invaluable.
