  • 1.  Colorado rescue reworking foster program

    Hello fellow furbaby lovers!

    I am new to managing our foster program and think we need a complete overhaul. 

    • Need a revised Foster Contract (per our insurance broker need to include "hold harmless" language). 
    • How do you manage and track home visits?  Do you do it via Zoom?   Do you do home visits annually? 
    • Have you used any surveys sent to fosters to get their opinion on whats working and what isn't working?
    • Foster Orientation paperwork/video would anyone share their sample?

    Hello there!

    • I'll attach an example of one of our foster contracts for you to see what we do!
    • We use Petpoint and Volgistics. So, we can upload home inspection forms to their profiles and add expiration dates/. Volgistics is great cause it will send reminders when they are getting close to having their inspection needing renewal. Due to PACFA, we have to do them annually! We've been doing ours virtually since COVID, via zoom, video, photos, whichever is easiest. Before COVID, we had volunteers who would go to their home to physically complete the inspection and paperwork.
    • Yes! We use the FAST-15 Survey each year (find it through Maddie's!) and it's been great! It compiles a report when the survey is over and gives you great statistics, feedback, etc! Would highly recommend it!
