We hope you will join us on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11am PT for our first call of the new year!

We will be joined by @Meaghan Swan-Wilson. With more than 12 years in the field of animal welfare, Meaghan Swan-Wilson has experience in shelter operations, population management, animal data and analysis. Currently, Meaghan is Senior Manager of Data and Logistics at Operation Kindness, a non-profit animal welfare organization based in North Texas. Meaghan is excited to share how shelters can simplify and use animal data to increase operational efficiency.

During her presentation, Meaghan will discuss using reporting to make data driven decisions on animal population management and increasing efficiency with operational processes. We will look at reporting examples from different shelter databases and you will leave with actionable steps that you can take with your organization.

Maddie's Fund will also be announcing the December 2022 grant winners! Be sure to tune in to see if you're one of the lucky winners who will receive up to $10k.

We're incredibly grateful to receive a December Weekly Community Conversations grant!   To give you an idea of how impactful this money is:  it represents about 10% of our annual budget!  We're small but able to be as effective as we are because of the support we receive through our relationships with other rescues, non-profits, and our local shelter.  To also have support at the national level in these weekly meetings has been a real asset.  We weren't able to attend live today because of a work conflict, but look forward to seeing you live again on the 23rd.  Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I was home sick last Monday so missed the announcement, but was so excited when I got the email. My team is all thrilled and we're so, so grateful.

We're planning to purchase equipment necessary to read our own fecal samples here in shelter. We currently have to schedule a vet visit, they send out the fecal, then we wait for results. Doing it ourselves in shelter will not only save us a tremendous amount of money, it will allow us to provide treatment much more quickly.

    Thank you!
