I'm Dr. Tim Shu, founder and veterinarian of VetCBD. We've been making CBD products since 2015 to improve the lives of the animals we share our world with. Last year, we started looking into how CBD could improve the lives of shelter animals. We've since partnered with Best Friends Animal Society and a number of shelters across the country to look into this. What we've found thus far is that CBD can decrease stress and fear in both dogs and cats, leading to improved behavior and greater chances for adoption.

Our study is ongoing and we are looking to partner with additional shelters to gather more information on the benefits of CBD in shelter animals. The data will eventually be published in a journal and has already been presented at a veterinary conference.

If your shelter would like to participate, we have two options:

• Data gathering participation, in which behavior information and amounts administered for enrolled animals are logged twice daily
• Partnership participation, in which we provide our CBD products at a special shelter rate. Training on usage is available at no additional cost, and no data gathering is required.

We might be interested in participating.  Can we have more info.  I can discuss it with our director.  

Sounds interesting and promising- anything to help the animals during their stay.  We became no kill 10 years ago, and have some long time residents.  We also see most dogs adjust and adapt quickly, but a few struggle in the shelter environment.
