I absolutely agree. I proposed here at my shelter that we begin a series of community classes targeting cat behavior specifically. We're starting with common issues like litterbox avoidance, counter jumping, biting, eta but if people like it we will add other topics like how to introduce your cat to your new baby. I think that if people have somewhere to go or call for help, we can reduce cat intake by a significant amount!

Rachel Geller believes that we can significantly reduce cat intake to shelters by becoming feline behavior community experts. I don't know about all of you, but people ask me quesitons about cats and cat behavior all of the time. When I did email and answered the phones at MRFRS years ago, I would say 20% of the calls were really ticked of people who were mad at their cats... Do you experience this?
