  • 1.  Doing a live demo of a free shared platform for shelters and rescues - anyone interested?

    Posted 20 days ago

I've spent the past year having the same conversation with shelter directors, foster coordinators, and rescue leaders. Data lives in five different systems. None of them talk to each other. Lost pet reports sit in one place while the same animal is already at a shelter down the road. Medical records get re-entered every time an animal moves. When a family needs help to keep their pet, there's no coordinated way to deliver it.

We all want the same thing fewer animals in shelters, more families staying together. But right now, everyone's working in silos. It's like we all want to play football, but one person's practicing at home, another's at the park, another's just watching on TV. Nobody's on the same field.

    So I built a field.

The AWRN (Animal Welfare Resource Network) is a shared prevention platform that connects shelters, rescues, vet clinics, trainers, landlords, and community organizations into one coordinated network. It doesn't replace your existing software it connects what you already have and fills the gaps nobody else is covering.

It's free for shelters and rescues. I'm a nonprofit four months in, and keeping it free is the goal as long as I can sustain it.

I showed it to the director of an SPCA in Canada today and they were blown away. I'm starting a research project with a grant-funded researcher at the University of Tennessee. I'm in conversations with Pet Inclusive Housing Initiative, Petco FBI, PawBoost, and Petco Love about potential integrations.

I want to show it to more people who actually work in this space.

I'm doing a live Zoom demo on 4/29 at 12:00PM Central. Not a pitch. Not a sales call. Just a walkthrough of a working platform, followed by your questions. I'll record it so you can watch later if you can't make it live.

If you're interested, here's the link

Would this also work for a sanctuary? We don't rescue/adopt out. We also have a limited cat clientele we serve.

    hi Bre

Yes, it will work for a sanctuary because the software is Customize to each partner requirements. There would be some modules that you wouldn't use for example, if you didn't do adoptions or if you didn't do fostering, then you wouldn't need those modules. So it would work with you to set you up with the modules that you needed and if there was stuff that wasn't in there that you needed It was a something that there was Several others that needed we would actually add

come see it on the 29th If you can't make it on the 29th, but I am going to record it and make it available. That way you'd be able to see a lot of the programs capabilities and get an idea of which part you might want to use in which part you wouldn't
