Hello All,

We currently use Salsa CRM and Engage for donor management and email communications with supporters and Volgistics for volunteer management.  I find Salsa to be clunky, difficult to navigate and the tools/training available are difficult to access.  We also use Shelterluv which we are happy with.

What systems are organizations using and can you provide a quick pro/con?  Are there any systems out there that integrate both donor and volunteer management into one system and may play nicer with Shelterluv? 

The process to import data into Salsa CRM from all the various places (QB integration, adoptors, donors from various giving platforms, volunteers, fosters, etc.) is difficult and time consuming, I'm hoping there is a more user friendly solution out there!

Digital Cheetah can combine donor and volunteer software specifically for your organization, but I wouldn't say it's user friendly, especially on the backend and most people that I have talked to that are users don't like it.  I have personally liked keeping donors, adopters/fosters, and volunteers separate unless there is a huge overlap.  Doesn't Shelterluv track donors/donations too?

We use Volgistics for volunteer management and Little Green Light for donor management. I prefer to keep them separate and find it easy to import volunteers to LGL. We are not a shelter therefore I cannot comment on Shelter Luv. Little Green Light isn't pretty to look at, but it is very functional and very easy to use. I don't know anything about Salsa CRM, so without details around the specific issues you're having it would be hard to say if Little Green Light would solve your issues.

We use Salsa CRM and Engage and I echo all of your frustrations.

We recently had a demo of EveryAction, the other platform from Bonterra. It is more expensive but doesn't have many of the kinks of Salsa so we are considering migrating to it. The upside is EveryAction will have someone to oversee the migration process so you wouldn't have to hire an outside person to help with that.
