Humane Action Pennsylvania (HAP) is proud to support proposed bills in the US Congress, that seek to end the cruel practices surrounding organized animal fighting (i.e. dog fighting and cockfighting). The Fighting Inhumane Gambling and High-Risk Trafficking (FIGHT) Acts (H.R. 3946/S. 1454) would combat these practices on several fronts, including banning online gambling on animal fights, enabling citizen lawsuits against perpetrators of animal fighting, and expanding forfeiture provisions to include property used in connection with animal fighting.
