  • 1.  Forever Foster Program

    Posted 8 days ago

We have a "Silver Whiskers" program for cats older than 7 years. We are also considering a "Forever Foster" program for seniors aged 75-80 who would like to have an older cat but may not be able to afford one, and would have no family to take care of the cat after their passing.

Does anyone have experience with a "Forever Foster" program where seniors foster senior cats? We would appreciate hearing about the pros and cons of such a program. Initially, our goal is to match senior cats with senior citizens, but we have found a need for "Forever Foster" arrangements.

Hi, we have similar programs for our senior dogs and senior horses. They are "lifers" or forever fosters.  Our nonprofit takes care of the vet, farrier, and food expenses for the life of the pet. It's costly because of aging issues. We  write grants and constantly do fundraising for them.
