We are a new rescue located in Florida and we have seen a lot of senior cats or chronically or terminally ill cats entering shelters. They end up spending the rest of their lives locked up in a cage or being euthanized. My rescue wants to start a Fospice Foster Program that will allow a cat to spend the remainder of its life in a foster home to live more comfortably and get the love and affection they need and deserve before passing that Rainbow Bridge. Has anyone done a program similar? If so, how did it work out for your rescue/organization?

Both Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary in TN and Frosted Faces in So Cal have excellent programs. You can probably find details on their website. San Fran SPCA actually created "fospice programs" many years ago, they might also have details too. They did have a slide deck created that I saw but that was 10+ years ago.
