    Hello!

I'm a volunteer with a local dog rescue and im trying to think of some creative fundraising ideas. I've recently partnered with a local creative space to do paint your own pottery and a paint n sip night, but im struggling to think of some innovative ideas. I'd love to hear about some events that others found to be successful? I'd also appreciate any suggestions on marketing and how to get the word out. Thank you!

Hi Melissa! We've just started some fundraisers. In February, we partnered with Chicken N Pickle for an easy fundraiser! Not sure if there is one in MA, but we got a portion from each non-alcoholic beverage purchased over a two week period. We didn't have to do anything but advertise it. We also just finished an online fundraiser with Little Caesars that ran a month long. Very easy and they provide all the tools. It was our first time so didn't do too great but still something is better than nothing. Tomorrow, we start a popcorn online fundraiser as well. We'll see how that one does. Good luck!

HI. Here are some ideas. Some involve more work then others.

    • Paw-ty in the Park
Host a dog-friendly event with games, treats, contests (best costume, best trick), and local vendors.

    • Charity Dog Wash
Offer dog baths for donations. Partner with local groomers for help or supplies.

    • Walk-a-thon or Pup Parade
Encourage supporters to walk with their dogs and raise pledges per mile or lap.

    • "Yappy Hour" at a Local Bar or Café
Partner with a pet-friendly venue to host a happy hour, with part of the sales going to the shelter.

I work at a Cat Cafe rescue and we do a "Paint Your Pet Night" as well as yoga and sound bath events. As a whole, our organization will do fundraisers at local restaurants as well as every year we host a benefit with dinner and silent auction.

    Hello, Community!

We recently held a very fun and profitable fundraiser.    Here is the flyer!  Night Out For the Pups! We rasied over $3,000 which was great and helped us with our neuter/spay efforts.  We will be doing another one soon, and a local band volunteered to play for us!

We are asking everyone to help us to help the dogs :)

All the best of luck to everyone!

A local restaurant/bar does Bingo as a fundraiser for charities.  We have an event planned for this summer with them.

Another local restaurant/bar has bands every Saturday and they hosted us at lunch time and gave us 10% of their intake.  We also ran a raffle.

3rd low key fundraiser (one that does not involve a lot of planning on our part) if 3rd restaurant let's us host a Betty White appreciation dinner in January.  They do not charge us for use of their space, but we pay them an agreed cost for a buffet dinner and the servers.  They also handle the cash bar.  However, aside from selling tickets for the dinner, we also hold a raffle and a dessert dash.  Look at ideas for dessert dashes at Pinterest.  All desserts and raffle items are donated.
