I like this idea very much. There are free auction sites to support this.
Our issue is finding a volunteer who can run the site and the auction.
It would also take a committee to reach out to the community businesses and pick up items donated.
Thanks for sharing!

Our shelter do a lot of social media to get our community involved. We did a silent auction fundraiser and got local businesses involved which also promoted their business too.
The big step is getting your community involved in your rescue. Letting them know what your mission is.

Hi everyone!
I am a volunteer for Zion's Mission Animal Rescue in Queens, NY and I am planning our first fundraiser in August! First, if anyone lives in NYC, we'd love to see you there! I can post details if anyone is interested.
My main question is, how do you all create fundraisers for small rescues? And how do you go about finding funds to make them possible? We are a mighty team of 3 at Zion's, with help from wonder sister rescues we work with a lot but we are in search of new ways to engage the community with our rescue while raising funds for our hospice and senior dogs. Thanks in advance for anyone who responds! :)
