Hi everyone- just wanted to share a cool collaboration we just did in Memphis. Our football stadium where the Memphis Tigers play (Simmons Liberty Bowl) was due for new turf to stay Division 1 compliant.  When I heard about this, I asked leadership what they were going to do with the old turf, and they said nothing! So we got the turf brought here to the shelter, and used this high-quality material to completely redo our play yards.

If you've got muddy grass yards like we used to have, considering reach out to stadium/ teams near you and ask when they are replacing their turf next. It's worth a shot!

Great idea! We also have a volunteer that works for a pool and landscape company that is able to get us turf at cost or sometimes scraps. I have also noticed some of our local high schools have been replacing or adding turf to the fields and we could reach out to them as well. We have a few foster homes that use turf in their doggie areas and we try and help them get it replaced after a few years of lots of wear and tear from puppies.
