With Giving Tuesday coming around the corner next month. How do shelters and animal rescues use this day of giving to help grow support and aid?

I am open to hearing ideas and strategies that successfully work in the past that can significantly make an impact to an animal shelter in need of support and aid.

Thank you for sharing any ideas or strategies or organizations that help with this process.

It can be hard to figure out a plan, but if you can secure a matching donor, people are much more likely to give (and give more) if they know their gift will be matched that day! Even if it's just a $200 match, it can be the push people need to take action sometimes.

I agree with Isabelle-matches are always a great way to motivate people to donate. You can reach out to your current donors via email to see if anyone is interested in offering a match, or ask your most dedicated supporters directly. We've also had success with social media giveaways, where people can like, donate, and be entered to win a prize. Another idea is to partner with a local business, artist, or influencer to donate a prize for a raffle, and have them promote your fundraiser on their social media. This could help attract new donors too!  Good luck.
